My wife said this was one of her favorite days on the island so far! I will definitely refer friends and family to her for personal tours. She took photos of us while we were with her and sent them to us afterward, so we could keep and treasure those memories.
We had great conversations about the current affairs going on in Hawaii and how the pandemic affected the islands. We were even blessed with being able to watch two pods of dolphins that happened to be near the shore. We ate like locals and visited areas only known to locals. We had asked for out of the way places and not the usual tourists locations. She brought us to spots that are not well known by tourists even though they were close to Waikiki. She also gave us a quick history lesson on all of the Hawaiian islands. She began with an Hawaiian language primer and really helped us understand how to say words like a true native.
She is highly respectful, personable and we felt totally at ease and comfortable with her.
She is energetic and very knowledgeable about Hawaiian and Polynesian culture which is exactly what we were looking for, a true local! Susie Olsen is incredible! She gave us the tour we were looking for! She exceeded our expectations.
